Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), one of the leading port logistics companies in the North European Range, successfully went public on 02 November 2007. With a market cap of roughly 3.7 billion, the partial privatization of HHLA was the second-largest IPO in the second half of 2007 by enterprise value.
In addition to the communication concept and PR activities surrounding the offering, Kirchhoff Consult AG developed a nationwide ad campaign, local advertising in Hamburg, an IPO flyer, the brochure about the employee stock option program and the content of the IPO website.

Symrise AG
Symrise AG is a global provider of aroma and flavor additives as well as basic and active ingredients for the perfume, cosmetic and food industries. With sales of EUR 1.23 billion in 2006, the company is among the top 4 in the global fragrance and aroma market.
On 11 December 2006, Symrise carried out a successful IPO, with Kirchhoff as its advisor. The placement volume of EUR 1.4 billion made Symrise the largest initial public offering in 2006. Kirchhoff was not only in charge of PR for the launch, but also designed a nationwide IPO marketing campaign for Germany, a retail flyer and the website about the offering. The annual and quarterly reports of Symrise AG are also created by Kirchhoff.
GWB Immobilien AG
Over its more than 15 years of experience, GWB-Unternehmensgruppe has developed into a specialist for the construction of large-scale retail properties, and realization of industrial and commercial revitalization projects. GWB is listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, and presently manages roughly 30 properties with plans to systematically expand its portfolio.
In October 2006, GWB went public with a placement volume of around EUR 17.6 million. Kirchhoff Consult was responsible for press and investor relations in connection with the IPO, as well as preparation of the analyst/investor presentations and design of the websites with information on the offering. Kirchhoff continues to support GWB in the areas of press and investor relations, as well as the publication of financial reports.
Wacker Construction Equipment AG
Today, the family-owned business, Wacker Construction Equipment AG, which began as a foundry in 1848, is one of the leading international manufacturers of high-quality construction equipment and compact machinery.
Wacker decided to make its initial public offering in the summer of 2006, and engaged Kirchhoff Consult AG as its communication consultant. Due to weakness on the international equity markets, the IPO was postponed during the investor road show, but finally executed in May 2007. The IPO was one of the most successful of the year: with the offering oversubscribed many times over, the company surpassed its fund raising target and investors profited from price gains. “Investors clamoring for Wacker,” read the Financial Times Deutschland headline about the IPO. In addition to PR, Kirchhoff handled the image campaign and the IPO website, and designed a brochure about the employee stock option program as well as a company brochure. After going public, Wacker continued also engaged Kirchhoff to prepare its financial reports.
Interhyp AG
Interhyp AG was founded in 1999, and grew from a start-up to a German market leader among independent mortgage brokers within just a few years. The September 2005 IPO, with a placement volume of EUR 103.4 million, was the most successful of that year. Only three months after its initial quotation, the share was included in the SDAX.
Kirchhoff provided PR in connection with the offering and designed the IPO websites, which contributed greatly to the success of the market launch.
